We Love #20, Part I

Grace has been in Basketball since January, and she really likes it. Here are some of her favorite things about being on the team: boys that will do what she tells them to, her #20 jersey, making baskets, running really fast, and picking out snack when it is our turn to provide snacks after the game. I think we can agree that these are things most WNBA players are concerned with.

The game on Saturday was the first one that Ryan was able to attend, and he is a much better basketball parent than I am. He is able to keep track of her Game Stats, while I just can recall how smart and fast and cute she is. Perhaps this is also because he wasn't trying to pay attention to the game, take pictures and keep Baby Faith off the court by himself. This is much easier for two parents.

Anyway, here are her stats for this week's game: 1 basket, 2 assists and 2 blocks. Does anyone else believe this qualifies her for the MVP Award? (which does not exist, because they are 6 and we are just happy when everyone gets to play, and no one leaves crying).

go #20! it looks like she really has her head in the game!

i am 28 and i agree that telling boys what to do and choosing snacks are some of my favorite things. :)

snaks are the only part of b-ball, or probably any sport that i'd be any good at. well, i'd be good at accesrizing the outfit and could totally pick out cute banners and stuff for my team. i never thought of sports in this light!! try to get some video of her. if she's anything like ryan, she'll be great at sports - and even better at memorizing statistics :)

The Griffin's

so, her cousin maddie, has also been in basketball since december, and last week begged me not to make her go. she absolutely hates it and the only part she likes is the snack, and getting a new pair of shoes. hmmm, i can't imagine where that comes from.

mainly at the end of her games, it is "snowcones for everyone."

crying is a routine happening in the life of sports for maddie.

oh, poor moo, i am afraid there is not a professional athletic career in store for her.

however, we love to buy stuff, and would be happy to support the WNBA star you have. Think #20 would autograph a picture for us? We can say we knew her when. (and then sell it for a ton, share the wealth, and get another autograph for free) because being family should have some benefits!

The Angell Family

She is totally the cutest. See? Tall and skinny has big advantages! Still, Grace & Corey are probably not the best idea if we are concerned with the next generation! :)
