O Christmas Tree

This is the artificial tree that I got at Kohl's at 4:00 in the morning on the day after Thanksgiving. Faith says it is beautiful and Grace says it's too skinny (who is she to talk?). However, once we got the decorations on it, they both decided it is pretty and that Daddy will like it. It's hard to tell from the pictures, but Faith put about 17 ornaments on one branch. I tried to move them after she went to bed, and she wondered why I put the ornaments up high.

God is very good and there was no fighting as we put the ornaments on. I overheard a discussion while we were decorating about Santa (whom we had visited at the mall earlier). Faith said that he was "chubsy" and wondered why he had white hair on his face. She then said to me," but Grace said Santa knows where the prizes are, right?"

So, it was hard to do it all without Ryan, but we had a good time together. And while I am still trying to get used to having a fake tree in the house, I am glad it will be able to be up until Ryan gets home.

so so cute! i love the tree and think it is such a sweet idea to have it for ryan.

jonas just stared at santa and then back at us like "what are you doing to me ?"

i can't wait for us all to be together.

I am stuned Christie even let Jonas near santa, I know her feelings on the issue...Who really cares if the tree is fake? the sentiment sure isn't - and it's awesome to think that you can put that up - and when you take it down Ryan will be home. I'm sure you're all thrilled....can't wait to have him back state-side!

I think the tree looks great! I do agree with you, though--you definitely could use some more lights! It would be hard with the ornaments already on, but if you want some help . . . Do you think Faith would notice if we moved some things around for a good cause?? ;)

I am also very surprised that Auntie Grinch let Baby Jonas anywhere near Santa. Is it possible that he is softening her up a little bit in regards to Santa?

JonasAxel

not softening towards santa but i wouldn't take it away from someone else. in fact, i remember the last Christmas we were all together, me and eric getting starbucks for all of us that were waiting in a very very very long line to santa at the galleria...i didn't leave at any other point to shop or eat or anything.

a little credit- and could i please have a better nickname than Auntie Grinch?
