These are pictures of Ryan assisting with a surgery that was removing screws from a guy's arm. He is actually making the incision in the arm in the first picture on the left. I am so excited for him with all of the pratical experience he is getting, even if I am a little scared that he is doing the work of a surgeon. For any one else who is a little nervous about Ryan with a scalpel, the face and hands you see in the first picture belong to the actual surgeon.

i am so proud of you! your girls are so beautiful alli! i know i don't know what it is like to have your husband gone this long, but i can relate on some level, and you my dear sister, make dinner every night. i must confess.. tonight i made frozen popcorn shrimp, and let them eat it while they watched "elf." i am totally up for the worst mom ever!
if i am exhausted after nine days, i can just imagine how you are! i for sure owe you a massage and pedicure.. and uncle troy and i will watch your kids while you go!
